Salih Uzun, MD

Dr. Salih Uzun earned his medical degree and completed his residency training in ophthalmology at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. He served as a Visiting Instructor at Stanford University during 2022 and 2023. In 2024, he commenced a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship at Retina Consultants, Ltd., affiliated with the University of Illinois Chicago.

Dr. Uzun is married and has two children. His professional and personal interests include soccer, ancient history, and multidisciplinary research. He is fluent in Turkish and English and has working knowledge of German.

Reem Alahmadi, MD

Dr. Reem Alahmadi is a vitreoretinal disease and surgery fellow with subspecialty training in pediatric retina and ocular oncology from Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She previously served as an Associate Attending in Vitreoretinal Disease and Surgery at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she also completed both her retina fellowship and ACGME-I–accredited ophthalmology residency. Dr. Alahmadi’s clinical and research interests span pediatric retinal disease, uveal melanoma, retinopathy of prematurity, and complex diabetic retinopathy, with a growing focus on imaging, artificial intelligence applications, and surgical innovation in retina.
